About Nihaali

In the local Dhivehi language, “Nihaali” was a part of ceremonial clothing worn by the Sultan’s nobles. This name reflects our love for Maldivian heritage. Nihaali Maldives is a privately owned boutique guesthouse in Kudarikilu island in Baa Atoll, about 130 km North West of Male’.

Kudarikilu Island

A peaceful little island in the heart of the rich marine environment that is Baa Atoll. You would be charmed equally by the soft sandy beaches, the swaying palm leaves as well as the sweet locals. Kudarikilu island is well-known in Maldives for its love for preserving Maldivian heritage, especially traditional music and dance. You can visit the historical site of an old mosque and listen to the stories of how it was built by local craftsmen. The island is also home to a private museum with a rich collection of relics showcasing Maldivian lifestyle and history, dating back to hundreds of years.

Getting Here

Kudarikilu island is about 130km to the North West of Male’. There are two ways to reach the island.

  • Direct speedboat transfer from Male’ to Kudarikilu island. This ride takes about two hours.
  • Air transfer, from Male’ International Airport to Dharavandhoo Domestic Airport (25 minutes) and a 20-minute speedboat ride from Dharavandhoo to Kudarikilu.

A peaceful, beautiful greenery environment. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. Most important, the place was very clean. The beach is extremely breath taking with its natural blue variants. It was beautiful and very relaxing with a quite atmosphere. Staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Always there when needed. The food was amazing with the tasty flavours. The island is so calm and relaxing with friendly locals. It was one of the best trips we ever had. Looking forward to another visit.

Outstanding The staff at nihaali didn’t go for an extra mile but thousand miles ahead to make our mini vacay to celebrate our anniversary congenial…. Special thanks to Ali Musthofa for being at our disposal whenever we need him… there are no words to describe the taste of the food from bonjour café’ as we were never expecting such delicious food from a local island. So if anyone wanna experience the living in a local island I’d highly recommend Nihaa li guesthouse.
